I racked my first attempt at a homebrew beer to bottles today. I had been concerned that the beer looked very dark in the carboy, but was very pleased when I started siphoning to the bottling bucket. I pulled off a tube for testing the specific gravity (1.010). Not wanting to waste it, I tasted it. It was nice! Not overwhelming and flat of course, but a tasty brew!
Now it must bottle condition for a week or so, the into the fridge and down the throat!
