The driving experiment has continued to be interesting. In 3 days, I passed 3 cars on my way into work. The first car had an elderly couple who appeared lost. The second car was weaving, speeding up, and slowing down. It was being (barely) driven by a Gen-X'er typing madly on his Crack-Berry. The third car was an early '70's VW bus, being driven by an old hippie. The bus may have been at max speed.. or the driver may not have cared... Dunno.

I was tailgated by a soccer mom on Murdock this morning. It's a 35 mph zone... It's very intimidating to have a massive SUV tailgating your little Kia..

On the Myth-TV project, I successfully got cable signals using my box and even recorded a 30 second bit. I need to get the IR controls working and figure out how I'm going to run cable and network traffic to and from it.

I am trying a small experiment this week. I am going to try to stay _below_ the speed limit on all roads this week. I will also come to a complete stop at all stop signs and slow down for yellows... etc.

On my way into work this morning, I was tailed by a cop for about 1/4 mile. I must have been suspicious, going at or below the speed limit!

The second project I am starting on is my (long awaited) MythTV project. I got a Pundit-R case and motherboard, along with a 2.8 GHz Celeron, 512 MB of RAM, and a DVD burner. I'll play with KnoppMyth at first and then maybe do a more customized install.

It's a tough time here. I'm almost out of Trost Ale. I've started another batch of ale. It is based on a 'Red Devil Ale' extract base with some Chinook hops added for extra zing!

I've also spent some time recently working on Photon Computer projects. One clients computer had over 300 virii and trojans on it ... yikes!

I'm enjoying my work at the Severe Storms Research Center here at GT CCRF and may have some interesting ideas for future research directions. Time will tell.
